Michael had been invited to the official launch of "Strelka" (www.strelkainstitute.com). "Strelka" is a postgraduate Institute in Moscow dedicated to developing new perspective on critical issues in contemporary Russia in the field of Architecture, Media and Design. The educational program has been developed with "AMO", the think-tank of Rem Koolhaas.

The bench "enjoy the view", our contribution to the exhibition at the 12 Biennale Architettura in Venice, arrived today at the venue. The bench which was manufactured in Mexico City was shipped by air-cargo to Venice.

Michael gave a lecture at the "American University Dubai" at a gathering from several Architects from US, Europe and Asia. The event was held within the lecture-series of the School of Architecture and dealt with different Theories of Design in Architecture.

Michael gave a lecture at the "University of Sharjah" in the Department of architectural Engineering. The title of the lecture was "in the most general sense a dynamical system is a tuple" and showed the approach of using principals of system-biology to create Architecture and urban organizing systems.

Michael is invited as a Keyspeaker to the Conference "Under Construction - The Material and Symbolic Meaning of Architecture and Infrastructure in the Gulf Region" which is held in October 2010 in Berlin. The second Keyspeaker will be Michael Schindhelm, the former Director of the "Dubai Arts and Culture Authority" (www.dubai-speed.com). After their presentation there will be a public discussion between Schindhelm and Michael regarding the situation of Dubai and the chances of the city in the future. The event is hosted by the "Zentrum moderner Orient (institute of the modern orient)" in Berlin (www.zmo.de).

The essay "the sustainability of operative artificial structures", which is written by Michael , is published in the book "Umbau 25" from the Technical University Vienna / Austria. The essay deals with the situation of Dubai and its need for generating an urban Identity.

Michael are invited as speakers to the "World Congress of Middle Eastern Studies" in Barcelona in July 2010. They will deliver a speech on the situation of Dubai and will give their outlook on the urban development of Dubai until 2030.

Michael published a small essay in the Dubai-based magazine "brownbook", a middle eastern magazine on arts, architecture and design. The essay is about different strategies of urban development for Dubai in the 21st century. The title of the essay is "sustaining the boom".
